Report

Once again we at Artemis Black's attended the biggest wargaming show in the UK (We don't count Games Day, who does?).

After a nice leisurely 3am start and no sleep we left sunny South Wales on our trek down to Olympia. Now don't think I managed the whole show on no sleep, no siree bob, I managed a whole 1 hour in the front seat of the van on the way down. Those of you with a horrified expression on their faces will be pleased to hear I wasn't driving.

Arrival

We arrived at the Olympia to be confronted by a shocking sight. No queue! Scarily well organised show this year. Once again we were downstairs in the zone I like to call 'not disgustingly hot'. And to be honest with you anything else I told you about the show would have to be made up entirely as I only managed to leave the stand for about 10 minutes total the entire day. I'm sure the show was great though, if anyone would like to let me know about it feel free :)

Cake!

A big 'Thank You!' to everyone who visited our stand, a big 'Ya boo sucks!' to everyone who didn't. For those of you who went to Salute yet didn't come see us you missed this...

...which became this...

...after hordes of hungry Frothers got their hands on it (and quite a few pretend Frothers who just wanted a cake!).

A particular 'Well Done!' to the gentleman who took advantage of our special Frother offer and was the first to spend over £100 with us and say the magic phrase "I am a Frother and I Like Cake!". Here he is proudly holding his purchases and a Tesco's Finest Chocolate Cake

The Day

For those of you who visited us during a particularly busy time and I didn't get a chance to talk to you then I was the one rushing around with a pricing gun trying in vain to price all of these...

As we all wore the same Artemis Black's t-shirts without name tags I suppose I should identify myself...

No, I have no idea what that photo is about. You could also have recognised me from my embarrassingly tacky earring which the attractive blonde wandering around in an Artemis Black's shirt made me wear after I impulse bought it thinking it would be funny :(

Dark Age

Particularly successful this year was our Dark Age demo section. We had a special preview of the upcoming rulebook which drew plenty of attention and some pre-releases in our Dark Age display case of the Dragyri Ice Arbiter 'Luck'kit-kaii' , 'Saber' and a Limited Edition Bone Doctor from a future Skarrd warband.

Special thanks go to Adrian 'Nembool' Land and Robert ' Scrollmaster' Fransgaard for selflessly giving up a lot of their day to run Dark Age demos for all and sundry. Hopefully the game was drawing the interest and not the free refreshments for demo players :)

Here's a selection of photos from our Demo section (Our showcase had been pretty badly poked and prodded by the time I got around to taking photographs sorry) including a couple of our friends from Frozen Port enjoying a quick demo...

Col. Marbles

We also did our friends over at Frothers Unite a favour and sold their new Special Edition miniature 'Colonel Marbles'. The little blighter was probably the biggest seller of the day :)

All in all a great day was had by all and see you next year at the all-new Excel!
