| Who are you? |
|
Artemis Black's is a two man
operation. Well technically a one man and one rather attractive woman
operation :)
We started as a small Gaming Shop in South Wales, UK and before you is our online home!
|
| Where are you? |
|
Our walk-in store is based at the
below address. Feel free to pop in if you happen to be a local, we always
welcome new customers and our gaming group is always looking for new
victims...
Unit 84
Pontypridd Indoor Market
Pontypridd
South Wales
(Please don't send snail mail to this address, it's located in an indoor
market complex and we don't get individual mail. If you need to send us
snail mail for any reason contact me and I will provide an alternative
address)
|
| So what have you got to offer? |
|
We stock, what we think is, a good
range of interesting miniature lines both domestic and international. We
offer a fast
& friendly service and realistic postage costs.
|
What's up with all the RRP
ABP stuff? |
|
RRP stands for Recommended Retail
Price (For miniatures from out of the UK it's the UK retail price). ABP
Stands for Artemis Black's Price of course :)
Please note that every now and again someone gets confused about the
strike through the RRP. It doesn't mean we are out of stock! It means
we're cheap ;)
|
Ok, I like your multi-buy Deals but you don't
have the combination I'm looking for - Will you swap?
|
|
The quick answer is 'Maybe'
:)
Ask us and we'll see what we can do, only takes an e-mail to ask.
|
| Is your postage really £1? |
|
Yes, if you live in the UK, but we keep our International shipping costs as
low as possible too.
We decided that too many gamers live out of walking distance of a gaming
store and adding travel costs on when you only want 3 miniatures and a pot
of paint is kinda stupid. We hope you agree.
|
| How come you don't sell Games Workshop
items? |
|
A simple business decision. We
decided that there are already plenty of online GW stockists, both
reliable and less so, on the world wide web and felt that just adding to
the glut wouldn't benefit anyone.
|
| Will you ever stock GW items? |
|
I'm fairly sure we will at some
point. We've just decided to concentrate on bringing relatively unknown or
unavailable miniatures to the public first. You can thank us later ;)
|
| What's up with the site? Where's the fancy
graphics? |
|
Not here! Seriously, we've never
been fans of amazing looking sites that come at the cost of being able to go
and make a cup of tea while waiting for page 2 to load. Our goal is to keep
everything nice and speedy for everyone out there still using dial-up or for
those of you who just don't are that I can make things spin around and go
bloop and just want to see the miniatures before you have to shave again.
|
| Why can't we just purchase items
immediately? |
|
The main reason is we're a walk-in
store too and we can't take the risk of someone ordering something we just
sold out of in-store. |
| Surely you could just re-order if that
happens? |
|
We could yes. Unfortunately as
we're dedicated to bringing international lines to the UK you could end up
waiting a week or two for miniatures you've already paid for. We don't do
business that way.
|
| Is that ever going to change? |
|
We hope so. As our in-store stock
grows we will feel more comfortable allowing people to buy immediately
from the site. At that point we will install a shopping cart to the site.
|
| How long do you take to deliver? |
|
It depends on how you pay. Paypal
orders are sent immediately as are Bank Transfer, Postal Order, Concealed Cash and
International Money Orders.
Cheques 'may' be held to clear at our discretion.
|
| So postage is £1? You send third class
and surface mail etc. right? |
|
Nope. UK postage is first class
for most orders, heavier items go second class but we send as much as we
can by first class post. Should you order enough to go over 1kg in weight
they'll be sent parcel post (3-4 days).
International orders are sent small packet airmail. In unusual
circumstances we may send surface mail but will discuss this with you
beforehand.
|
| Blah link doesn't work, what do I do? |
|
Tell me would be a good start :)
Any miscellaneous emails can be sent to
artemis@artemisblacks.com
this includes broken links, suggestions for new miniature lines and heaped
praise.
|
| So what's next? |
|
We're always open for suggestions!
Seriously though we're usually already looking at numerous new miniature lines and ideas.
Whenever we decide to start stocking a line or implementing an idea we'll
announce it on our Main page.
|
| Is that it? |
|
Well for now. I'm sure more
questions will pop up at a later date!
